Director's Message
On behalf of The Office of Student Financial Services, I am pleased and proud to present our first quarterly issue of TCNJ Money Matters.
As we continue to review and update our services, we recognize the significant importance of open and consistent communication to the customers we serve. We in SFS adhere to our mission to provide unified financial services to our students.
The College continues to move forward in many exciting directions. Among these is the beginning of the implementation of the student financials module of the new integrated student system.
We rely heavily on comments and suggestions. Please do not hesitate to contact us with financial services issues that you are interested in seeing addressed.
Best wishes for a successful Spring Semester!
Jamie C. Hightower, Director
Student Financial Services

Descriptions of TCNJ's fees including: Student Service Fee, General Service Fee, Student Center Fee, Student Activity Fee, ID Fee, Computer Access Fee, and Health Insurance.
Want to stay on track with your financial aid? Our office has compiled a list of 12 major steps you can take to ensure that your financial aid application will be processed on time.
The Office of Student Accounts reviews the status of all student accounts after the Office of Financial Assistance makes the aid distribution. If a credit balance exists on your account, the money will be refunded to the student.
Your ID Card has an electronic wallet that allows you to purchase items, on and off campus, without carrying cash. All you need to do is add money to the account in order to activate the privilege.
It can be used at every dining location on campus, and at multiple off-campus locations such as gas stations, convenience and grocery stores, and hair and tanning salons. You can even pay your telephone bill, buy tickets to an on-campus event and buy books for class. For additional information check the web at www.tcnj.edu/idcard
