New Financial Aid Web Worksheet
The U.S. Department of Education has now published a "FAFSA on the Web Worksheet" with questions in the order in which they appear online to facilitate electronic filing. Web Worksheets are available in the Office of Student Financial Assistance, Green Hall Room 101, as well as the 2006-07 traditional paper FAFSA forms. If you are applying for the first time, use "FAFSA on the Web", enter the information from your worksheet onto the Web and follow directions. To complete your FAFSA you will need 2005 IRS income tax returns from you and your parents (if you are a dependent student) as well as a Personal Identification Number (PIN). You may register for your PIN at www.pin.ed.gov. If you are renewing your financial aid application for 2006-07, you should also use FAFSA on the Web. Depending on how you filed your 2005-06 FAFSA, you will receive one of the following from the U.S. Department of Education: a PIN mailer via U.S. mail, a PIN reminder via e-mail, or a paper renewal application Additionally, Your PIN serves as your electronic signature on your FAFSA application.
