Calendar of Financial
Aid Processes
- January 1 - Earliest date you may file a FAFSA
or Renewal FAFSA for the next academic year.
- February 15 - Deadline for incoming freshmen
to submit admissions application (which is used for consideration
for The College of New Jersey Scholarship Programs).
- March 1 - The Office of Student Financial Assistance
begins packaging awards for admitted and continuing students whose
financial aid files are complete.
- March 1 - Your FAFSA or Renewal FAFSA should
be received by the federal processor by this date if you want your
application to be a Priority Application.
- April 1 - Priority Application filers should
have submitted all required documents to our office.
- May 1 - Students applying for Summer Session
financial assistance must have completed and submitted all application
documents to our office.
- June 1 - New Jersey residents who have previously
received a Tuition Aid Grant from the State of New Jersey must ensure
that their FAFSA/Renewal FAFSA is received by the federal processor
by this date. Notification to students who have not met the Satisfactory
Academic Progress Policy for Financial Aid Eligibility is sent on
approximately this date.
- July 1 - Approximate date for the TCNJ Board
of Trustees to set upcoming academic year tuition, fees, room &
board rates. The Office of Student Financial Assistance begins to
package completed Financial Aid Applications.
- August 15 - Approximate date of payment due to
the Office of Student Accounts for fall semester charges for registered
students.
- August 27 - An approximate date. Classes begin.
Students should look for information about fall semester financial
aid check disbursement.
- October 1 - New Jersey residents who are initial
applicants for the Tuition Aid Grant from the state of New Jersey
must ensure that their FAFSA/Renewal FAFSA is received by the federal
processor by this date.
- November 15 - An approximate date. Deadline for
submitting corrections to the state of New Jersey for TAG consideration
for the current academic year. Renewal FAFSAs are issued.
- December 1 - Students must have been awarded
and have accepted financial aid awards by this date for financial
aid to be applied toward their charges.
- December 15 - An approximate date. Payment is
due to the Office of Student Accounts for spring semester charges.
