Then there are also the 128 words of fine print at the bottom that people rarely read.

Advanced reservations requesting offer code FRTIME required. Offer valid in…

Reading it with my magnifying glass reminded me of the fine print that comes with most prescription medicines. telling you all the possible things that could make you regret buying them. Hyatt’s fine print tells you that the offer isn’t valid at Hyatt Place or at Hyatt House. And if you wish to stay in a Hyatt that is in any country other than the US, Canada or the Caribbean, you are out of luck. Even if you are staying in a Hyatt in one of these three areas, the fine print says that the offer may or may not be available depending on the particular preferences of each Hyatt.

What this probably means is that, if the Hyatt is in a popular location and/or business is good, they are not likely to honor the free-day offer, so look for off-season locations...perhaps Calgary in November..

Hyatt also says, “Restrictions apply.” That covers a lot of possible restrictions, which were probably too numerous to list, and no doubt vary with each location. Oh, and they also reserve the right to alter or withdraw this offer at any time without notice, so hurry. A location in the Caribbean during the August hurricane season might still be available... if those locations are so inclined.
