Courtney Walsh

What is important, fun, or unique about your college experience?
It is unique that we have study/elective time built within the day. I am able to become more well rounded human being because I’m taking classes I’m interested in.

What is it like to participate in College courses?
It’s exciting that I get to meet new students and am able to interact with my peers and professors.

What clubs are you involved in and what do you like about involvement here on campus?
Best Buddies and TYC for Future Teachers. I like them because I’m not stuck in the same building and I can go out and meet new people.

What difference do you think being a CCS student will make to your future?
It will make a huge difference in my life because it shows me great self-advocate skills and teaches me not to give up in my life.

What is a special moment or experience you have had as a CCS student?
When I passed the orientation test on the first try. Because I’m legally blind it’s hard for me so I was proud of myself.

What is your career goal for after graduation?
Teacher or teacher assistant in special education.
