What is important, fun, or unique about your college experience?
It is important to get as much as I can out of college, such as a job on campus. I have an internship in interior design, which gives me experience in my future job field.
What is it like to participate in College courses?
It’s a great experience. You get to meet lots of different people. Everyone gets nervous at first but once you get used to it its great.
What clubs are you involved in and what do you like about involvement here on campus?
I was part of PRISM. They had all kinds of events on campus. I would like to be part of CUB when I have more free time next semester. I like being involved because you feel more a part of the campus and more accepted here.
What difference do you think being a CCS student will make to your future?
Being a CCS student has helped me mature and realize what it will be like to be an adult. It has taught me a lot of life skills and job skills.
What is a special moment or experience you have had as a CCS student?
My most memorable moment was when I met my closest friends and we all just clicked. They are the friends I’ve always wanted. My favorite experience is being a part of the Higher Ambassador Program. I like talking to the other students from high schools about being a college student. I can explain what I’ve been through and how far I’ve come.
What is your career goal for after graduation?
My career goal is to be an interior designer, like Ty Pennington. I want people to feel happy and comfortable in their home environment.
A Day in My Life
- I meet up with my friends at the Library Café every morning to talk about what has been going on in our lives
- I go to my internship at Platypus 2 days a week, about 12 hours a week
- I go to my TCNJ class color theory once a week for 4 hours. I am learning so much about color.
