Membership and Application

REGULAR

Applications are available at the end of the fall semester or the beginning of the spring semester to students who fulfill the following requirements:

enrollment at TCNJ as a chemistry major
completion of sophomore year requirements (Quantum chemistry and Organic chemistry II)
minimum GPA of 3.5 in all chemistry courses which can be determined by the GPA calculator
a recommendation from a professor of the Chemistry department

A graduating senior whose academic record in chemistry is satisfactory for the preceding year, but whose overall scholastic average is slightly below that required for membership, may be elected to membership by special recommendation of Chemistry faculty and majority vote of the Chapter members. Furthermore, outstanding alumni and faculty may be elected to membership as Honorary Members.

The one time due for the National Society is $25 which is to be turned in along with the application. Also included with the application must be a (official or unofficial) copy of the transcript, which can be printed out through TESS. If the application is turned down, money will be refunded; we also encourage those who are turned down to reapply at the next available opportunity.

ASSOCIATE

Applications are available throughout the year to students who are enrolled at TCNJ as chemistry majors.
