MAC Program
Undergraduate Fellowship Program
Eligibility:
- Junior in college
- US citizens or permanent resident
- Background of economic disadvantagement*
- Enrolled full time in a college/university in NJ
- Minimum GPA of a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
- Interest in a college teaching career
*Economic Eligibility Criteria
All fellowship applicants and recipients must be from a disadvantaged background, as demonstrated by inclusion in at least one of the following categories:

For each additional member, add $7200 to the income. If you were a ward of the state or if your family received Aid to Dependent Children, you may qualify under most circumstances.
2. Be a former or current recipient of the New Jersey EOF Article III undergraduate or graduate grant.
3. Be a first generation college student who would have been eligible as an undergraduate for a NJ EOF Article III grant by meeting both the income requirements above and a history of poverty. N.J.A.C. 9A:11-2.2b indicates a history of poverty generally includes documented, long-term economic hardship of the family, such as little or no accumulation of assets and the inability to provide more than the basic needs of family members, as demonstrated by:
- Having attended or graduated from a DFG A or B school district of Abbott school district;
- Having resided in a municipality that is a hish-distress/labor suplus area, or is considered an eligible urban aid municipality, and/or is eligible to receive ECPA from the NJ Department of Education;
- Having resided in an area that historically has been populated by low-income families;
- Having a sibling who was or is enrolled in an EOF program;

4. Be a first generation college student whose immediate family is or was eligible for government assistance and/or educational programs targeted for low income and disadvantaged populations (TRIO Programs, NJ GEAR UP, free and reduced breakfast/lunch programs, food stamps, or at least one year of Pell grant eligibility).
