DEVELOPMENTS AND RESOURCES IN WEB PAGE CONSTRUCTION
There are many new approaches, different programs and tools to
simplify
and improve web page construction. We should become familiar with them and
then select the ones that will be of greatest assistance to us at this
time.
One issue that seems to arise when examining the above is that of
maintaining the best control of the web page
as it is constructed and revised. There still appears to exist the
argument between those who favor the use of the
HTML (HyperText Markup Language) and those who support the varous
composers and programs such as
"Front Page" etc..
I would suggest one should learn how the HTML
is used
and this would then allow you to
use this knowledge in modifying a web page developed by a composer, should
it be necessary.
Also, if you are attempting to connect with TCNJ from your own PC
using TELNET,
CLICK
HERE. The TCNJ site can provide "Telnet" which is listed
as QVTTerm for Windows 95/98 or QVTTerm for Windows 3.1.
The file transfer program that would be needed is WS FTP for Windows 95/98
or WS FTP for Windows 3.1
At the same site, under "Macintosh Software" both "Telnet" and "Fetch" are
available for downloading.
