Tri-beta Inductions
The induction ceremony will be taking place on April 15th. It will be taking place in the Mayo Concert Hall of the Music Building. If you are being inducted, you are required to bring food or drink items, which can be signed up for in the biology office. Also, if you are becoming an associate or regular member, you must attend the ceremony, or you will not be inducted. If you are being inducted, please arrive before 7 o'clock. Refreshments will be served after the induction, before the keynote speaker. The ceremony itself begins at 7pm. The lecture is going to start at 8pm and the title is "Evolution of Darwin's Finches." It will be given by Dr. Peter Grant from Princeton University. Dr. Grant and his wife Rosemary were the subjects of the Pulitzer Prize winning book “The Beak of the Finch” by Jonathan Weiner. The Grants have been studying the finches of the Galapagos Islands for 40 years.
