Spring Semester To-Do's

Spring will spring early at TCNJ!  Each semester various tasks need to be completed by each student to ensure that their schedule and room assignment stay intact.  Below is a check list of the "to-do's" for students in preparation for the Spring semester:

  • Review your Spring tuition bill, after receiving your Spring billing e-mail on or about November 20, 2007, and pay all charges.

  • Students and parents are encouraged to read the benefits of SHIP (Student Health Insurance Plan) before waiving enrollment in the plan.  Full time students are required to maintain health insurance to include, at the very least, basic hospital benefits throughout the period of enrollment.  After considering the factors above, proceed to waive the automatic health insurance coverage offered by The College by visiting Health Services, Eickhoff Hall Room 107, prior to January 28, 2008 and following their instructions to complete the waiver process.

  • Be sure to submit payment for the Spring semester to The College on or before the due date of December 14, 2007.  Lack of payment by the due date will result in a late payment fine being assessed to your account and possible de-registration from Spring semester courses.

  • Review your personal information and update if necessary.

  • Be sure your AMS TuitionPay contract is covering the entire cost of the Spring semester not covered by other means (scholarship and/or financial aid).  If not, submit the difference directly to The College or contact The College AMS TuitionPay representative to adjust your contract.

  • If applicable, print a copy of your bill from TESS and submit to your employer for payment.

  • Sign up the responsible bill payer to receive e-billing notification directly to their own e-mail address.  Click here to view that website now.  Only one alternate e-mail can be registered per person.

  • Confirm your attendance for the Spring semester.  This feature is available on TESS starting November 20, 2007.  Attendance must be confirmed by the first day of Spring classes, which is Tuesday, January 22, 2008 to preserve your schedule and housing.

  • Complete the 2008-09 Free Application for Federal Student Aid on the internet at www.fafsa.ed.gov.  This cannot be filed until January 1, 2008.

  • Best wishes for a great semester!!!
