important special program reminders for the spring 2007 semesterindependent employee tuition defermentsThe College of New Jersey can no longer offer deferments for independent employee tuition reimbursement plans. This new procedure was implemented by the Office of Student Accounts, effective August 2006. The only acceptable vouchers are employer vouchers that allow the Office of Student Accounts to directly bill for tuition. Otherwise, all payments must be received by the billing due dates. It is the student's responsibility to receive their tuition reimbursement from his/her employer. workforce development and unemployment tuition waiversStudents who are planning to use an unemployment tuition waiver must first be admitted to The College either through Admissions or the Graduate Studies program. Proof of eligibility in the form of a voucher must be obtained by the student from his/her unemployment counselor. The unemployment tuition waiver voucher must be dated no earlier than 30 days prior to the designated registration date. Students can only register during the posted "add/drop" period at the beginning of each semester. This is to accommodate and give priority to all tuition paying students. On the same date that registration is completed, students are required to immediately report to the Office of Student Accounts, bringing along their unemployment tuition waiver voucher. Only the cost of tuition will be waived. At this time all student fees/charges must be paid in order to have the waiver applied to the account. undergraduate matriculated students onlyAll matriculated undergraduate students registered for six or more credits are required to have a FAFSA on file as well as any requested financial documents before the unemployment tuition waiver will be applied. If a student is eligible for any federal or state grants, these grants will be used to offset the amount of tuition being waived. Again, these students must complete all financial aid requirements before the unemployment tuition waiver is applied. |
