Name: Jim Giacchi
Major: Mechanical Engineering
Role: Drivetrain Design
Biography: Jim first worked on the Baja SAE project as a freshman whose job was to do whatever the seniors didn't want to do himself.
In the following years he served as the captain of his year's team, leading to the first ever Sophomore car.
He was then in charge of the Junior year effort and designed the drivetrain for that year.
Jim is hoping to take the strong showing from the previous year and use the knowledge gained to design a drivetrain for the 2007 Senior project car.

Name: Christopher Edward Allen
Major: Mechanical Engineering
Role: Flotation Design
Biography: I was born and raised in Green Pond, NJ and am currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering at The College of New Jersey.
I play baseball for the TCNJ Club Baseball Team and formally for the TCNJ Club Field Hockey Team with my sister who was a senior then.
My parents John and Alice Allen are both retired and spend their time putting the finishing touches on a five-bedroom bed and breakfast restoration.
I have worked as a carpenter since Spring 2001 for Stephen Shea General Contracting and also as an 'Independent Contractor' on my father's bed and breakfast project.
My future plans are to graduate TCNJ in May 2007 and enroll in a Law School for Fall 2007.
I will also hopefully continue to my work as a carpenter during Summer 2007.

Name: Bryan Kappauf
Major: Computer Engineering
Role: Bryan is part of a two man computer engineering team that will be adding electronic diagnostic equipment to the 2007 Baja car. His main focus will be that of the system's circuitry and electronics.
Biography: Bryan Kappauf is a senior Computer Engineering Major from Somers Point, NJ.
He is currently a member of Best Buy's Geek Squad.
After graduation he wishes to have a career in computer engineering and possibly go back to school for his Masters degree.

Name: Carlos Torres
Major: Engineering Management
Role: My job is obtain funding, order parts, develop work schedules, and construct a cost report.
Biography: Enjoys playing baseball and football in his free time.
Worked as an Intern at Birdsall Engineering, Inc. over the summer.

Name: Matt Kinback
Major: Mechanical Engineering
Role: Suspension Caption for the 2007 Senior Team and is also helping with the frame.
Biography: Matt started with the Baja SAE project freshman year, washing parts and asking questions.
During his sophomore year, he teamed up with other eager sophomores and remade the rear half of the frame, rear suspension and drivetrain of the 2002 vehicle.
In his Junior Year, 2005-2006, Matt was the Suspension Subsystem Captain for the Junior Lions entry that placed 18th at East and 28th at MidWest.
He is torn between Grad School and Industry after graduation, but would love to design Corvette race vehicles!

Name: Rob Irving
Major: Computer Engineering
Role: Rob is part of the two man computer engineering team that will be adding electronic diagnostic equipment to the 2007 Baja car. He will be focusing on the software issues of the sensor equipment.
Biography: Interests include watching movies, rock climbing and kayaking.
After graduation from TCNJ he will seek a career in computer engineering and/or software development in the Central Jersey/Philadelphia area.
