Jil and Lawrie in a  humorous moment

On October 4, 2002, from 12:00 to 4:00 P.M. Mr.  J. Lawrie Bloom of the Chicago Symphony presented a Master Class and Clinic for the clarinet studio of Professor Roger McKinney. Annemarie Calabrese, Vanessa Bonaccorso, Melany Felsen, Jilian Rise and Jonathan Proniewski presented featured solo pieces in exceptionally fine performances. Following each performance, Mr. Bloom critiqued each player and gave very helpful suggestions. The flow of dialogue throughout the class was a lot of fun and most gratifying. In addition to his rigorous schedule in the Chicago Symphony, Mr. Bloom is Professor of Clarinet at Northwestern University.
