Our Sesquicentennial Year Begins

The Sesquicentennial clock we had installed at the Brower Student Center kept ticking off the days, hours and minutes until 1P.M. on September 8, when our 150th year formally arrived. Threatening weather, which never did arrive, forced a decision to move indoors. Right on time, the torch-bearing volunteers brought a capacity crowd to its feet in an explosion of exuberant pride.
