Our budget request has been submitted, for the same amount of money as last year.

The swipe access request for the new CC’s has been submitted.  The original CC’s are having trouble getting into Eickhoff – we can try resubmitting a request to get this fixed.

If LEMS has red-bag trash, it will be put in the trash cans in the locked closet in health services.  We can leave it outside this room and it will be taken care of.

We are owed one SAM splint from health services.

We need to make sure we spend our budget by July so we don’t lose this money or have trouble with our budget requests in the future.

Scott Sferra (Advisor)

In the process of organizing some training classes with Regina

CPR classes are done.

Had a meeting with some of the CC’s last week, which was productive. We’re looking forward to having LEMS and Pennington Rd working together well in the future.

Applications are available for LEMS members that want to join Pennington Rd.

Working with Nicole to research statistics and information regarding the College’s donations to Ewing township and how the money is divided and given to the fire departments.

Pennington Road has done 67% of our transports since 2003

George Apostolopoulos (Deputy Chief)

We have a new schedule posted in the cubicle….and it’s already out of date due to more changes and new people joining crews.

There are no immediate standbys but CUB has mentioned wanting a crew for the comedy show.

The phasing out of the buddy system will be on an individual basis. Once it is gone, the Officer on Call system will be back in place.

We need to review the SOP’s for the OOC. It is suggested that the OOC continues to follow the general rules for responding to calls when acting as the OOC.

An issue with miscommunication with campus police after an emergency dispatch when the Crew Chief’s radio was dead and he had no way to contact his crew was raised.

We need to coordinate a trip to visit campus police to learn about how dispatch

works and begin to build strong relations between LEMS and CPD.

We will be looking at reprogramming our radios once we get all the necessary software and hardware from Kevin, in addition to the list of frequencies which we already have.

Regina Cummings (Training)

CPR classes are all finished

We need to think about getting our members into instructor school or else we cant really do the CPR classes for the nursing majors anymore – it doesn’t function as a fundraiser for us anymore.

If we send people to instructor school we need to get them to sign a contract saying they will do a number of classes for us.

We will be sending people to EMT school over the summer.

Tom Pagnotta (Equipment)

Thinking about switching which company we order our supplies from.  We are currently with Common Sense but Moore seemed to have some cheaper supplies in some areas.  However, more research needs to be done before we switch.  We do get a discount from Common Sense.  Health Services currently uses Bell Medical.  We also need to look at what we’re ordering because many people report being dissatisfied with the quality of the supplies that we have.

Will also look into rearranging the bags, and evaluating how and what we stock them with, because they are disorganized and overfull.

We will also finally switch to the new crew chief bag.

Jay Preciado (Exec VP)

Jackets – will be navy blue

On the back, “TCNJ” and then “Lions’ EMS” in block lettering

The cost will be $80 a jacket plus a $14 embroidery charge, although we’re not positive how that charge gets applied yet.  We will order 8 and save the extra money for getting patches sewn on.

We will get an invoice faxed over from the company.

We will place an order for a few more tshirts.

Once the tshirt money has gone through and we can get in touch with the sweatshirt guy, we will place an order for sweatshirts also.

Mike Rossetti (Treasurer)

The money for the tshirts has not gone out yet.

We will pay for the patches out of the administrative line.

Mina is going to pick up the patches this weekend.

Regina has a voucher for $150 for the cost of the banner.

The radios we were given money for in the fall have apparently not been ordered because the order has not gone through and the money is still sitting in our account. We need to use this or we will lose it.

If it has not been done yet, Tom will take care of doing it so that someone in the organization understands how the process works for next year.

Andres Acosta (Growth)

Fixing up the SOPs for the Res Life section

Will meet with the committee in the next week or two to go over any changes to the OOC section and start working on some member benefits

Jessica Paciorek (Secretary)

We have joined the Pennington Road FAS mailing/yahoo group.  Our secondary email/username is now lionsems@yahoo.com.  The password is the same as for our TCNJ account and all the information to do with the security questions is saved in the secretary folder of the email account.

Kelly Gilsenan (Fundraising)

February 27th from 7-10pm we have another Cold Stone Fundraiser organized.

Six Flags opens on April 2. Waiting for information from them about whether or not we can do another fundraiser. If the money doesn’t come in time to offset the cost of this year’s banquet we will hold onto it for next year.

We may still have the carwash in the spring, but the details need to remain secret!

Tom Paulmann (Publicity)

The website has been updated.

Working on the history page of the website, although waiting for some input from Kevin to get it going.

Jim Garvey (VP of Member Services and Special Events)

Many details of the banquet were ironed out or discussed at the meeting last Monday.  It will be at Pennington Rd Fire House – but the date has had to be moved due to conflicts.  It will now be held May 4, 2007, which is a Friday during reading days.  This is pending approval for the room from Pennington Rd.
