About the Library Catalog

The online catalog has a record for each of the items that the Library owns. These include:

• Print and electronic books

• Magazine, journal and newspaper titles

• Electronic government documents

• Audiocassettes

• Music and spoken word CDs

• DVDs

• Videotapes

• Music scores

• Computer files

Note: You can't search for individual articles in the catalog.

The catalog will tell you whether TCNJ subscribes to a particular journal, magazine or newspaper, but it doesn't have any information about specific articles within those publications.

In Module 4 you'll learn how to search for articles by using research databases.
