My Professional Activities during 2010

  1. Presented a peer-reviewed paper entitled "Using an Unusual Data Set to Introduce Students to Time-Series Forecasting in a College-Level Statistics Course" to the Fourth International Conference of the American Institute of Higher Education. The conference was held in Williamsburg, VA. from March 17-19, 2010.


  2. Published a peer-reviewed and accepted paper entitled "Determinants of Undergraduate Business Student Satisfaction" in collaboration with Dr. Joao Neves in the March 2010 issue of Research in Higher Education Journal. This journal is published by the Academic and Business Research Institure (AABRI)


  3. Invited to and plan to attend the "Data Mining for Educators Summer Program" at the SAS, Inc. headquarters in Cary, North Carolina from July 19 to July 23, 2010. This five-day course will include SAS programming essentials for Educators II, Customer Segmentation with Numeric and Textual Data, Joint Teaching Experiences, and Neural Network Modeling.
