My Professional Activities during 2006
- I continue serving as the computer science Coordinator for our Collegebound program at TCNJ.
- Attended the Seventh Annual Instructional Technology Workshop
at The College of New Jersey on May 10, 2006.
- I taught three sections of ECO 231, Business and Economic
Statistics and one section of STA 115, Introduction to Statistics,
during the spring, 2006 semester.
- Attended the 20th Anniversary Conference of "Making Statistics
More
Effective in Schools and Business: Assessment, Application, and Advocacy"
at the University of Chicago held from June 22 to June 23, 2006. Conferees
from the two worlds of business and academia shared ideas on affecting
real change in organizations, methods in marketing science, ethical
issues, personal quality tools, practical cases for classroom use, what
current students ought to be taught, what is being taught today, and
assessment techniques for statistics courses.
- Coordinated the offering of the computer science classes for TCNJ's Summer, 2006 CollegeBound program by hiring two teachers,
assisting
them in their course administration, and maintaining communication between these two teachers and the administrative staff and
Director of the
CollegeBound program.
- Contracted
by Thomas Edison State College to significantly revise and rewrite the
course syllabus, module objectives, assignments, study aids, and mid-term
and final exams for their COS 101, Introduction to Computers course. This
work was performed and completed during the summer season of 2006.
- I am teaching three sections of ECO 231, Applied Business Statistics in TCNJ's School of Business.
