ARTICLE I
Membership
Section 2: Types of Membership include active membership and inactive.
a.) Active members who wish to run for office are members who attend 60% of the semester’s total events and meetings. Active members who wish to vote but not run are those that attend 40% of meetings. Attendance will be taken at every club and committee meeting.
b.) Inactive members are any members who attend less than 40% of semester’s total events and meetings. Inactive members are eligible to vote or run for office.
Section 3: There are no limitations on membership at this time.
Section 4: There will be no termination of membership. If a member is not fulfilling his/her duties, he/she shall be deemed inactive. However, if an Executive Board member is found by the remainder of the Exec Board not fulfilling his/her duties and has missed more than 60% of all meetings and events without receiving permission from the president or entire executive board, then the individual will be removed for that position and the Exec Board elections shall be held to fill that position. Arriving late twice without permission is equivalent to one unexcused late. Attendance will be checked for executive board members on a regular basis and if member is not fulfilling his/her requirements, then they will be notified by the president by the end of the semester. The same procedure shall be upheld if an Exec Board member resigns.
Section 5: Elections: positions are open to all active members who attend 60% of semester’s total meetings and events.
a.) Shall be held at the last meeting in April.
b.) Candidates must be nominated and seconded by committee members, or may be self-nominated and seconded by members.
