QUIET STIRRINGS

Quiet stirrings from within
creep forth on silent feet,
like morning fog
that veils and shrouds
the telltale light of dawn,
wending thoughts
and clouding minds
till hearts are strong
and intertwined.

But as the day wears thin the veil,
realities unfold.
Dewdrops wither in the sun,
and young hearts
oft grow old.
