ASSEMBLY CHART DEVELOPMENT AND DESIGN LAYOUT
                              ASSIGNMENT

PROBLEM:   Draw an assembly chart of an alternator. Include all
             necessary inspection, testing and packaging operations.

SOLUTION:  Take notes during the assembly demonstration.  Notes should         
             be complete and contain all assembling, testing, inspecting,
             and packaging steps.

REQUIRED:  Short typed rational of the assembly.
           Parts list (part name, I.D. number, quantity and material).
           Complete assembly chart on "B" or "C" size paper.
           Address each design item noted during the demonstration.
           Address each design item listed on the assignment and
             handout sheets.

CRITERIA:  Completeness (All parts must be charted and presented in
             proper assembling, inspecting, testing and packaging
             order.)

           Drawing quality
           Parts list
           Explanation of assembly
