A Trenton State College letterwinner
in football and track and field, Paul Vichroski is celebrating his 34th
season as an assistant coach with the Lions. After graduating from Trenton
Central High School in 1959, Vichroski attended nearby Mercer County
Community College before arriving at TSC. A two-way starter in football
as a center and defensive tackle, he started for three years for former
coach Bob Salois. In 1963, he was invited to the Dallas Cowboys training
camp for a tryout.
Vichroski, who specialized in
the shot, javelin, and discus events for the TSC track team, is employed
full-time as a civil engineer. He lives in Trenton along with wife Barbara,
daughters Jennifer, Laura, and son Paul. Among his many hobbies are
weight training, running, fishing and gardening.
