DHC Meeting Minutes October 11, 2006

Field Day at Katzenbach
WHEN: We’re meeting at the ATMs in the Student Center at 11:45 next Wednesday, October 18th to drive over together (in case anyone doesn’t know how to get there). We’ll probably be leaving MKSD around 2.
WHAT: We’ve agreed on three stations: Kickball, Obstacle Course & Bowling/Ringtoss. The students (about 40 of them) will split into two groups. The first group will spend 30 minutes playing kickball and the second group will be split among the other two stations where they will spend 15 minutes at each one. The two groups will then switch.

NOTE: This event will count as Community Engaged Learning hours for those of you in ASL 103. See Dr. Slobodzian. It will also count for a Deaf Contact Experience for Dr. Slobodzian’s class. If you’re not in her class, ask your teacher if it counts.

IMPORTANT: If you HAVE NOT already, please e-mail the club if you need a ride. Also let us know if you have to leave early or arrive late, we may be able to place you with someone with the same problem. Please let us know this by Monday so we can set up cars. Also, try to consolidate cars. If you know someone else who is going, please try to carpool; we don’t want to swarm the MKSD parking lot! Thanks!

STAY TUNED: After you let us know who needs rides and who’s driving, we’ll send out an e-mail to let you know whose car you’re going in and how you can contact them.
