Welcome Back!!!

Merchandise to benefit the MKSD Middle School
For the past few meetings there have been order forms for t-shirts, sweatshirts, tote bags, etc. with fingerspelling on them. If you haven’t gotten your order in yet, but you know what you want, e-mail the club and I can set something up to meet you to get your order and money. But you have to do it within the next few days because I won’t be here this weekend and I’m bringing the forms to Katzenbach on Monday!

Upcoming Events

LTD
As you (should) know, our big event for this semester is bringing the Little Theater of the Deaf back here. If you saw them last semester, you know how awesome they were. If you didn’t, then you have to come this time! The event is on March 20th, in Kendall Hall and it’s FREE!!!!! Students from Katzenbach and other schools around the state will be joining us for a pizza dinner before hand. This is really the Reader’s Digest version. Stay tuned and come to meetings for more information! Just know that we’re going to need your help and cooperation to get everything up and running!

Saturday, March 25th—NJ Deaf Conference here at TCNJ: The topic is The Cochlear Implanted Child and Sign Language (I know I messed up the title, I’m sorry). It’s $15 for students and runs from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM. We’ll have more information on registration and whatnot at the next meeting.

April 28-89—The American Cancer Society is holding a Relay for Life here at TCNJ. It’s a fundraiser for cancer research, and it’s an overnight event. It’s kind of complicated to explain, but we’ll be talking about it at meetings between now and then.

Upcoming Fundraisers

We’re going to have a bake sale on February 21st. We did really well the last time so we’re sticking with what works. Be on the lookout for signup sheets for baking and sitting at the table.

In March sometime we’re going to sell Great Adventure tickets like we did last year. For those of you who don’t know, we sold Hurricane Harbor tickets, season passes and day passes at a discounted price and did pretty well with that too. All you have to do is sign up to sit at a table in the student center!

We’re also going to try to do Gimme Jimmie’s Cookies. They’re really good cookies (from what I’m told) that are baked by a Deaf man.
