Meeting Minutes 9/21/05

Katrina Relief
Instead of doing something on-campus (since everyone else seems to be) to help with Katrina relief, we’re
going to help out with the Katzenbach school’s relief efforts. If you don’t know what that is, e-mail us
and we’ll explain it. I’m waiting for them to e-mail me back to find out exactly what we’re doing.

Fundraisers
On October 11th, we’re having a joint bake sale with Delta Zeta to help raise money for the Gallaudet
Dance Company. We’re going to need volunteers for baking and for sitting at the table in 1-hour shifts.
We’ll have signups at the next meeting.

Coldstone Creamery does fundraiser nights where we all go there during a certain time period (either
together or separately) and buy ice cream and we get a percentage of sales. Amanda’s getting more info
on that.

We have like 2 t-shirts left. If you want one, contact Amanda. They’re $10. We were thinking of getting
new ones or more of the old ones since there seems to be quite a demand for them. Let us know what u
think.

Events
Every Thursday night at the Quaker Bridge Mall Food Court, there is an ASL/Deaf-Hearing Social Gathering.
It’s just a group of deaf and hearing people who get together and chat. It’s fun, GO!

September 28, 1PM is our “Silent” Lunch in the Student Center Food Court. Don’t be intimidated, there WILL
be some talking, so you’ll know everything that’s going on, even if you don’t sign!

October 15th—You’ve heard it before, but we’re going to keep saying it! The Gallaudet Dance Company is
coming. So far, we need ushers and publicity helpers, so start thinking about what you’d like to do.
We’ll probably have sign-ups at the next meeting.

November 5th is the Alexander Graham Bell Conference at Kean University. If you want more info you can go to
www.agbellnj.org.
