Meeting Minutes 1/26/05

1. LOLLIPOP SALE!!!!!!!
   • We’ll be making them Saturday, February 12th at Sheralyn’s house just down the street at 2pm. If you need rides, just email the account and let me know! MAKING them is the most FUN part :)
   • We’re SELLING the lollies that Monday (Valentine’s Day) from 10am-4pm in the Student Center (STUD). I personally can’t be there, but if you can sit just let us know when you can come! This was a good fundraiser last time, so be there!
2. In March we will be doing a cookie fundraiser (Gimme Jimmy’s). The man who makes the cookies is Deaf I believe, so this is a really cool relevant one.
3. T-SHIRTS!!!!!!! Blue with yellow writing, DHC fingerspelled on the front and A super cool lion on the back signing “I love you” and wearing a TCNJ shirt.. oh and our club name is on the back. Just get your $10.00 to someone on the exec board (Me in Decker, Alli, Jen, or Sheralyn) BY FEBRUARY 18th.
4. June 4th is Deaf and Hard of Hearing Awareness Day at Great Adventure! We’re thinking about selling tickets for it. Details will be discussed.
5. Dr. Dell’s conference is on February 17th (Thursday) in Forcina 132. The adaptive technology center at TCNJ is hosting a teleconference (sponsored by NJ-NETAC): “English Language Development & Deafness: Language and Literacy Programs for Students who are Deaf/HH in Educational Settings” from 2pm-4pm. We’re invited!!! Hit reply for more info.
6. April 1st is the NJ Commission on Higher Education’s Regional Conference here at TCNJ. We’re cosponsoring, so details on what we’ll need to help with will be coming soon…
7. NJRID ASL Real Weekend!!!!!!! Match 18th-20th in Tinton Falls! go to NJRID.org for more info. REALLY consider this one – I think it’s going to be a really great experience!

10. Elections coming up. If you’d like to run for a board position, you MUST email the account BY February 9th.
11. The next dance being held by CEC is February 18th from 6pm-9pm in Decker Main Lounge. These are dances for people with disabilities, and they are a BLAST!!! So I really encourage you all to go! :)

13. FUTURE events include another movie night and another sign dinner, which we are actually making a sign LUNCH now, tentatively set for Wednesday, April 6th at 12:30pm
14. I’ll email you for the next meeting, but get ready for the LITTLE THEATRE OF THE DEAF on FEBRUARY 10th at 7pm!!!!!!!!!!!!! It’s free so you all really ought to come and check it out. My ASL prof is a teacher over at MKSD and she got really excited when I told her about this – so come! It’s going to be really awesome!
