Moment of Inertia This experiment is designed to investigate: The selection of linear measurement tools. The calculation of area moment of inertia. Calculation of 'strength to weight ratios'. Comparison of 'strength to weight ratios' between similar sections (ie. solid round vs. round tubing). Determination of mass moment of inertia of a pulley Comparison of hand calculated mass moment of inertia calculations with computer generated results.
